Second call of Aielo+cultura=TALENT VISIBLE thanks to Aielo de Malferit Valencian Cultural Capital 2022 this new call has the collaboration of the Consortium of Museums of the Valencian Community and Caixa Ontinyent. This fact is a qualitative leap that has allowed us to exhibit a work from the Art Collection of the Generalitat Valenciana: “Hilo” by Lucía Peiró, an artist from Benigànim, la Vall d’Albaida. In addition to the exhibited work, the artist made a site-specific performance in the Patio de Malferit.
Exceptionally and to emphasize the regional character of Aielo de Malferit Cultural Capital, we have included a sculpture by Evarist Navarro (Castelló de Rugat, 1959-2014). The rest of the participants are the result of the public call, according to the bases reguladoras.
“To the project presented to apply as Valencian Cultural Capital 2022 we said that Aielo de Malferit understands culture as the root that gives us identity as a people, from the traditions close to the people, as the U d’Aielo, but also as the light towards the future that shows us new ways to see the world and express ourselves, as in the Noches d’Aielo i Art. Talent Visible II is an example of this cultural diversity without losing the link in the territory, and an example of the transforming power of culture towards a better society.”

The exhibition includes the participation of renowned artists such as Evarist Navarro and Lucía Peiró, both from the Vall d’Albaida. The artists linked to the town of Aielo de Malferit are Juan José Egea, Montserrat Palacios, Javier Torres, Amparo Sanz, David Carboneras, Rosendo Aparici and Abel Martí.
“I have always admired the artist who is inspired by his land. The one who identifies with the territory and transforms it, in a fertile symbiosis. The mountain of Santa-Victoria is more mountain after *Cézanne, as Bologna is more universal after Morandi. I do not believe in cosmopolitanism, nor do I believe in a “cosmopolitan” art. I believe in the topophilia, in one’s own personal possession, in the inner look from the particular landscape, from one’s personal history.
That’s why activities like Talento Visible are so important to create a different and personal look”.
